Dr. Turner is an emergency medicine physician who currently owns and operates several ERs and urgent cares in San Marcos, Boerne and Abilene. He began his training in Austin with the Family Medicine Residency Program way way back in 2001. The draw of emergency room medicine, however, caught him in 2006 and he has been a full-time emergency physician ever since. He absconded with his gorgeous wife from New Mexico in 2009 and since then has added 2 beautiful adopted baby boys over the last several years. He enjoys spending time flying around Texas in a small single engine airplane. Texas sunsets are his favorite and are best enjoyed on the back patio with his wife and kids. Dr. Nurnberg was born in Kansas, but grew up in Iowa. He went to school at Kirksville, MS. He had always wanted to be a DO (Doctors of Osteopathic medicine) and pursued his medical degree studying Family Medicine. Dr. Nurnberg spent his residency at Brackenridge Hospital. He then worked in Rockdale, TX at an emergency room as a Medical Director. In his free time Dr. Nurnberg enjoys fishing, golfing, bowling, spending time with his beautiful wife and children. Dr. Nurnberg has been with My Emergency Room 24/7 since 2015.
As a board-certified physician with close to three decades of experience in emergency medicine, Brad Sloan, MD offers the highest standard of personalized care at My Emergency Room 24/7 in San Marcos, Texas. Dr. Sloan’s specialized training, extensive experience, and continuing education in the field of emergency medicine place him in an ideal position to successfully manage virtually any contingency. He provides a full scope of emergent medical care services for patients of all ages, ranging from quick and attentive chest pain diagnosis to comprehensive bone fracture care, acute headache treatment, and everything in between. Born and raised in Dallas, Dr. Sloan was the Salutatorian of his senior class at W.T. White High School. After earning his undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, he attended the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he received his medical degree. He performed his residency training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Once his residency was complete, Dr. Sloan continued at UT Southwestern, serving as an Assistant Professor to incoming residents. Dr. Sloan is devoted to providing superior, trustworthy emergent care to families in San Marcos and the surrounding communities. He’s board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Natalya (Tasha) came to America from Russia as an exchange student when she was 15 years old. She fell in love with her host family and Texas and decided to stay. She received her nursing degree in 1999 and started her career as a medical/surgical nurse. After a few years she became a charge nurse at a hospital in New Braunfels, TX in the emergency department. Tasha has worked in the emergency room since 2009, where she has gained extensive knowledge and skills during her years as a staff nurse and a charge nurse. Tasha has been with the company since 2015 and has been in a management role since 2017. Tasha is an amazing resource for our staff and helps to keep the facility functioning with dedicated patient care and great customer service in mind. In her free time she plays sand volleyball, is an avid traveler, and enjoys spending time with her adorable puppy.
